Vicki Kristina Barcelona is a trio consisting of Terry Radigan, Amanda Homi and new member Rachelle Garniez, who has taken over for Joy Askew. They are all have their own careers as musicians and songwriters, and over the years they have worked with Peter Gabriel, Joe Jackson, Sufjan Stevens, Jackson Brown, Jack Bruce, Jane Siberry, Laurie Anderson, Dan Penn, Quincy Jones and Trisha Yearwood. When they first got together, the songs they were excited to sing as a band were those of Tom Waits. Lately, they’ve also added a few of their own songs as well to the mix. VCB play guitar and some surprising musical instruments as well. Tonight, you’ll find Vicki Kristina Barcelona in Park Slope, playing the 7pm show at Barbes. The music room at Barbes is small, so it will be like seeing the band in your living room.
